• Does your donation strategy include online giving? Does your website promote e-commerce?
• When sending an email, identify yourself in the subject line. Otherwise, you risk being deleted or sent to spam.
• Look at your own marketing materials. What are you trying to tell your audience? If you don’t immediately get the message, neither will they!
• Use Testimonials whenever possible. We all like to hear success stories.
• If you are a nonprofit organization and receive donations, be sure to send thank you notes and a follow up letter explaining the use of your donation. It may seem old-fashioned, but you will be remembered when your campaign comes around again.
• Be sure that everyone in your organization knows the “elevator speech”. Clients can turn up in the most unexpected places.
